What are the crane safety protection devices? According to the "Safety Regulations for Crane Machinery", cranes should be equipped with various crane safety protection devices.

1. Overload limiter / lifting weight limiter

Function of overload limiter: The comprehensive error of overload limiter should not be greater than 8%. When the load reaches 90% of the rated load, an alarm signal should be issued. When the lifting capacity exceeds the rated lifting capacity, it can automatically cut off the lifting power source and issue a prohibitive alarm signal.

2. Gravity limit switch

Electric hoist Gravity limit switch function: when the electric hoist rises to the limit position, the heavy hammer is triggered to cut off the coil voltage of the electric hoist lifting contactor.

3. Torque limiter

Crane torque limiter function: the comprehensive error of the torque limiter should not be greater than 10%. When the load moment reaches the rated lifting moment, it can automatically cut off the power source for lifting or luffing, and issue a prohibitive alarm signal.

4. Break fire limiter

The function of the electric hoist break fire limiter: After the electric hoist rises or falls to the limit position, the main power supply of the electric hoist running motor is cut off.

5. Crane lifting limit position limiter

The function of lifting limit position limiter: it must be ensured that when the spreader is lifted to the limit position, the power source for lifting is automatically cut off. Applicable to: all types of cranes.

6. Crane lowering limit position limiter

The function of crane lowering limit position limiter: under the working conditions that the spreader may be lower than the lower limit position, it should be ensured that when the spreader falls to the lower limit position, the power source of the descending can be automatically cut off.  Ensure that the winding of the wire rope on the drum is not less than the number of turns specified in the design.

7. Phase sequence protector

The function of the crane phase sequence protector: to protect the forward and reverse rotation of the motors of each operating mechanism of the crane. And prevent the limiter failure caused by the disordered phase sequence after the limiter is debugged.

8. Operation limit position limiter

The function of crane operation limit position limiter: It should be ensured that the mechanism automatically cuts off the forward power source and stops the movement when it moves to the limit position.

9. Brake

Crane brake function: Crane brake is also called motor brake.
