What Are The Differences Between LH Crane And QD Crane? Which Is Better?

Among bridge cranes(also called overhead crane), general bridge cranes with a wide range of applications and more use (that is, ordinary bridge cranes), have two models with similar appearances: LH and QD cranes. If you don’t know them, you will think that they are of the same kind. In fact, they are not only different in appearance, but also different in application and configuration.

1. The substantial difference between LH type and QD type

QD type can reach a higher working level, LH type is difficult to achieve high (multiple) level of use, this is also the achilles heel of LH type crane. If it is slightly exceeded, LH type crane can also be used, but it may reduce the service life of the equipment. This is the substantial difference. Therefore, it is not recommended to use the LH type crane for tasks with large tonnage and high level of work.

3. Which model is more practical

Choose the appropriate model according to the tonnage of the material, frequency of use, working time and other factors in the use scene. It can be used at a lower level, but cannot be used at a higher level.

QD type bridge crane is divided into (working level) A3, A5, A6, A7、A8

Due to the different operating requirements and construction conditions, it is not possible to say which is more practical in general. Instead, it is recommended to comprehensively consider the known conditions and select the more suitable equipment.

4. Their advantages and disadvantages

LH type: The advantages are compact structure, light weight, simple operation and space saving. The disadvantage is that it can not reach a high level of work.

QD type: The advantage is that it can carry a strong working level and can be used in more complex and harsh working conditions. Easy maintenance. Disadvantages are high price, high wheel pressure and high self-weight.
